8 (eight) Ghanaian government officials and personnel confirmed killed in the military helicopter crash that occurred on Wednesday, August 6, 2025, en route from Accra to Obuasi in the Ashanti Region:

🧾 National Tragedy Hits Ghanaians
- The helicopter was a Ghana Armed Forces Z‑9 utility helicopter that lost radar contact shortly after departing Accra at approximately 9:12 a.m. local time on August 6, 2025, heading toward Obuasi in the Adansi Akrofuom District of the Ashanti Region.
- All eight onboard — including five passengers and three crew members — died in the crash, described by officials as a “national tragedy” .
